2-1-1 Arizona
The Community Information & Referral (CIR) Board of Directors and Arizona United Ways have established a broad based coalition of city, county, state, philanthropic, business, faith-based, and non-profit organizations to assist in the development of a strategic plan for supporting the utilization of the 2-1-1 three-digit number for easy access to information about and referrals to health and humans services Statewide.
Coalition members have assisted in planning and hosting the community forums thus far held in Casa Grande, Flagstaff, Prescott, Show Low, Tucson, and Yuma to obtain community input on the plan. The CIR Board of Directors has adopted the coalition’s recommendation to expand its current board membership to include statewide representation. The CIR Board of Directors has established a 2-1-1 Arizona Advisory Board to provide recommendations and advice on expansion of its core functions, fund development efforts. Additionally, the Board has petitioned the Arizona Corporation Commission to designate CIR as the Lead 2-1-1 information and referral service collaborative entity in the state of Arizona.
