Monsoon Safety Tips
Updated March 16, 2009 Return to the Summer In Arizona page As of 2008, Arizona's monsoon season begins on June 15 and ends September 30. The start and end of the season used to be based on the dewpoint, but the National Weather Service has opted to make the season more uniform. New residents of Arizona need to know a few things about our area's unusual weather patterns and how to stay safe during this time of year when conditions can change very quickly. And longtime residents can always use a refresher course. Please check the following tips to help keep you safe during our potentially dangerous stormy season!
