Community Information & Referral

What people are saying about us...

From time to time, people call or write to us to let us know how we have helped them. These are their unsolicited testimonials.

An Information & Referral Specialist tells of concern and cooperation among agencies:

A resident of Sierra Vista called us after being stranded in the Phoenix area due to an auto accident in which he was a passenger.

Our Helpline Specialist contacted ValueOptions to get the caller to the local Greyhound bus terminal. She then contacted Larry with St Vincent de Paul who went to the bus station and bought the man a meal and a bus ticket home.

We feel fortunate that we were able to find this gentleman the help he needed within our community.

Our Information & Referral Program Manager tells us about this call from Donna, a client who had just spoken with one of our Helpline Specialists:

Our Helpline Specialist did everything that she could for Donna. She was patient, very kind, understanding and a great listener. She did more for Donna than anyone ever has. She has spoken with other agencies including the American Cancer Society and our Specialist treated her better than they did.

Donna continued that she was overwhelmed with how helpful our Specialist was. She said that she was kind hearted and encouraging and listened to her. She stressed this several times.

I just wanted to let you know how wonderful you have been over the years. I work in a non-profit with children and family's and whenever I am struggling with finding a resource I can always count on the wonderful specialist to help me out with resources. They always take their time and offer several options or brainstorm ideas if service is not available. This service is> invaluable to our community.

This came to us with an online order for our free cards and brochures:

I have ordered a lot of cards. We have approximately 50 eligibility workers in this office and I would like for all of them to have enough referral cards for them to give to their clients.

I find this the best resource that I can give a client. I have never heard from any client that your service did not help them. This is a great resource. I give this out solely as a resource to my clients. I would order a ton of these cards if the office would hold it but I must be conservative. If no one else thanks you, I do, you really probably help more people than you know.
